Healing Yoga for Cancer Program

The 8-week program starts with a 2-hour workshop to learn the poses and breath practices that will be used throughout the program. We then meet weekly for a 1-hour yoga class for the remaining 7 weeks. In between classes, participants are encouraged to do the practices at-home to develop a personal yoga practice as well.

This gentle yoga class series includes simple and effective yoga poses that reduce common side effects for people living with cancer such as pain, fatigue, lymphedema, neuropathy, anxiety, and insomnia. This evidence-based approach was created by Cheryl Fenner-Brown and includes a combination of intention setting, movement, breathing, sound, and guided visualization to create a positive connection with the body and soothe the mind and spirit. 

This class is open to those in treatment for cancer, cancer survivors, and caregivers. It focuses on ways to incorporate yoga and self-care practices into your healing journey and build community in the process.
